Episode 4: One more to five

  • Pressure is on the SaxoBank riders to produce results now that their main man is gone. We see this as a chance for the understudies to shine. (article)
  • Vino is a man, not a machine. And he’s doing it for the kids. (article)
  • The rider’s “union” decides to defend Offredo and wants to reexamine the whereabouts policies (article)
  • Kolobnev successfully defends himself to CAS. And now the UCI is gonna make Saxo their bitch… (article)

Races of the Past and Present

Omloop (Van Marcke promised AND delivered [article]); Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne (When the race is essentially a Sky leadout, it’s hard to get excited about it); Langkawi (Dan like Andrea Guardini. Zabriski looses in spectacular fashion)

Races of the Future

Strade Bianche (Lots of heavy hitters, riders want to “peak” once they’re “important,” will be LIVE, Anna of course picks Nibbles for the win. Or Sagan. Liquigas at least.); Paris-Nice (Anna can think of nothing more torturous than a mountain TT. Podium Cafe has a great preview).
